Le 1896 — Restaurant in Bergerac

As we walked by this restaurant and studied the menu we immediately called for lunch reservations.. it's a bit of a classy place without all the flaa-flaa, and is decorated with character. We ordered 2 lunch specials and a carafe of wine. All the food was outstanding. In the end the total came to only €32, but only after the waitress had to correct the overcharge twice before she got it right. I'm thinking it wasn't intentional but who knows for sure. Visited twice whilst on holiday. Food was excellent on both ocassions. The 'le 1896' burger was up there with best I've ever tasted. So good in fact that my wife chose it on the second visit. The chef's special risotto is also well worth trying. Don't forget to leave room for the home baked deserts the lemon meringue tart being a winner for me. Malheureusement mauvaise expérience niveau culinaire. Les carottes étaient congelé, la viande nerveuse, le pain est rationner a 4 morceaux par personne, c'est la table d'à côté qui m'a offert généreusement leur panière de pain. La serveuse rien a dire. Monsieur ,je vous remercie pour votre réponse qui comporte beaucoup d'erreurs. En effet tout d'abord je demeure bergerac et non a prigonrieux, secondo mon menu était le suivant salade de chèvre chaud et bavette de boeuf de viande nerveuse ; Quand au pain il fait partie de us des restaurants d'en mettre a volonté sur table et je tiens vous dire que j'en ai demandé 3 fois a votre serveuse sans être entendu ,il a fallut que mes voisins me donne le leur. Quand a savoir pourquoi je vais au restaurant au déjeuner c'est pour manger ce que je désire et non me conformer a ce que m'impose un patron de restaurant . J'ai trouver votre réponse désobligeante comme chaque fois que vous répondez à une note qui ne vous convient pas et agressive. Il est non conforme a un responsable que l'on informe que sa viande n'est pas de qualité a lui de rectifier le tir ou pas ,comme vous savez le dire il y a 99 restaurants a bergerac ,peut être que la prochaine fois vos doigts iront au cerveau avant d'écrire.
