Au Bureau Merignac is a reliable, fun pub/sports bar/brasserie one tram stop away from the Airport Terminals - and was packed on a Sunday evening, with a mix of Bordeaux residents and travellers staying in nearby hotels - combined with the classic rock playlist, this made for a lively ambience. Our burgers were delicious - too late we realised that the accompanying fries would go cold faster than we could eat them - but generally the menu is extensive enough for everyone to find something. Zero alcohol Leffe beers were just the ticket! Service was attentive, professional and very helpful. It was a cold dry bun, the vegetarian petty was still cold and not a tasty option at all, on top there was some cheap mayonaise and a whole camonbert that was (hopefully?) hot at one point. I do expect enjoyable food if someone charges me 18€ for a burger with...
Read moreWe came before 19:00 so no proper food. Only finger food. We ordered the assortment plate which was really bad. The fried calamari and onion rings were mass produced frozen products, not fresh. We ordered dessert, the menu said fudge cake, but it turned out to be some sponge cake which felt like a premaid Pillsbury cake from the supermarket. The waiters did not clean our table at any time during the meal, even though we were with children and the table got dirty. We had to clean the table ourselves with wet wipes. We did not receive any napkins either. Overall the worst place we ate in, in our whole two week...
