We were looking for a restaurant that served salad on a Saturday afternoon. After rejecting three cafes that did not, we stumbled upon La Cabanon Marin. My first visit to this restaurant here in Bordeaux. The chalkboard menu displayed three salads. So, we choose the one with lettuce, œufs, jambon, et tomates. Flavorful and filling. 13.50 euros. A glass of Rosé. 5 euros. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. We sat outside to people watch. This place is across the boulevard from the river. We were pleasantly pleased with this salad selection. I'll visit again to try something new like seafood.

We have wonderful lunch with a large seafoods platter and more, the waiter is good person, very welcome for Asian tourists. So we will come again in the future and recommend for tourists who want to taste huge size seafood in Bordeaux, the location is good, an easy spot to find, and nearby any tourist attraction, after finish the meal you can walk around to Cathedral, City gate, plaza, Bridge, and etc.

Went for 70th birthday. Knowing I can't eat raw seafood, i chose from list of accompanying dishes 3 types of seafood. Given they all seemed to be cooked I chose prawns, grey shrimps and clams. The clams arrived raw much to my surprise. I asked therefore for them to be cooked and was told Not, although other shellfish was being cooked. The 2 young female serving staff were pleasant, but unempowered and we ended up paying for bottled water instead of the tap ordered and for me uneatable raw food going to waste. If the clams were to be served raw, UP TO 50% OFF EVERYTHING

menu should the menu should make that clear in a list of otherwise cooked shellfish like langoustines, whelks and crabs. Wouldn't reecommend going...

Our visit the day before yesterday was a catastrophe. We made a reservation and thought that would be a table indoors. It was cold but we were seated outdoors, the staff seemed to have no control over our reservation. We ordered dinner at eight o’clock and than waited for almost two hours before the starters were served. When we asked for our meals the waiter said he was sorry, there was only one chef in the kitchen. We didn’t even have bread at the table. When two of us had starters 90 minuets after ordering our appetite were gone and we had to leave before main course. We weren’t compensated in anyway. We left disappointed and hungry. The staff worked so hard and we could se the stress in their...

I would give this 5 stars as the bouillabaisse was outstanding and everything I hoped for and more, however the waiter and waitress ignored us when we turned up at exactly our reserved time. We even showed them our name in the reservation book. After 15 mins of standing and waiting whilst the staff carried on with their night, my wife had to ask a waitress if we could sit at an empty table which was laid out but not occupied. Once we sat down, the food and wine experience was brilliant. I don’t know if the sitting issue is normal as we are not natives, however when we are back in Bordeaux, I would certainly return here as the...
