Pastabog — Restaurant in Bordeaux

Stumbled in by chance, left absolutely impressed. This places is a hidden gem!!!!

My brother and I were looking for a quick bite late at night and randomly came across Pasta Bog; but turned out to be the best dinner we’ve had in the city. David, the owner and chef, is the warmest person we’ve met in Bordeaux — his hospitality is unmatched.

We ordered the burrata, the salsa di basilico con gamberi (light, fresh, with the perfect kick of basil and shrimp), and the crema di tartufo with duck — which was out of this world. Rich, creamy, and decadent in the best way.

The pasta is freshly made by David himself (offering gluten free alternatives), and the sauces are packed with flavor and texture. You can tell David puts real care into every single plate he sends out.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the music was on point, and the overall vibe made us want to stay longer than we planned.

Not gonna lie when we first showed up we where skeptical, looks a little run down and my family and I were the only ones there however we were served our first dish the bruschetta and our minds were blown soooo good!! We decided to stay after that the pasta a beautiful fusion of Italian and Congo. The owner is the only one who worker there regularly and he is absolutely lovely. Such a hidden gem! Hidden in a corner of the Capucins/Saint Michel district, you will find Pastabog. Friendly attentive staff serving amazing pasta at affordable prices. We tried their bruschetta, the carbonara and the pasta with cheese sauce. They were all extremely good. You can definitely feel the freshness of the pasta and all the products they use.
