POGGETTI - Pizzeria e Cucina Italiana — Restaurant in Bordeaux

Lovely restaurant on a nice square. We visit this restaurants 3 times during our holiday. Once for a morning coffee, once for dinner and once for a quick lunch.

All 3 times it was great. The employees were extremely friendly. The service is great. And they were so sweet for our two dogs. They got fresh water every time without asking, plus some cuddles!

The food was amazing for a nice price. We had a calamari, focaccia and a pizza.

Both of us felt a little sad to go back home and won't be able to visit this place again anytime soon since we are living in the Netherlands.

The pizzas are really thin, although the outside crust is thick and foamy. No crunch at all whatsoever. The ingredients are OK. Took the one with truffle paste, and they put a lot on it. Too bad for the dough because it becomes very messy eating the pizza. Don't even thinks holding the pizza slice. It's like a wet slice of bread with mostly raw ingredients on top. Service wasn't so good either, although friendly (and probably some new staff in learning curve). Ordered an apéritif, and got the pizza first. Cancelled the apéritif, of course. Location is OK. Doesn't deserve those high...

We, Italian and Pizza lover, asked if they could remove one of the ingredients from a pizza because of diatary requirements. They told us no. They said they can't remove the cheese because it destroys the pizza. And we can only take the pizza like it is. We had plenty of pizza in naples and nobody there ever had a problem removing cheese if requested. One could even just do a marinara what...
