One of the Best Ramen Spots in Boulogne – Kiwamiya Review

Ambiance: 7/10 Kiwamiya is a cozy ramen spot in Boulogne that offers authentic and flavorful ramen dishes. My first visit was on a rainy afternoon, and the place was quiet, making for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. However, during my second visit with a large group, the restaurant was packed, and the wait time was long. The servers were a bit cranky, which affected the experience slightly.

Food: 5/5 On my first visit, I ordered the Porc Tonkatsu Ramen, and it was absolutely amazing! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the pork was tender and delicious—one of the best I’ve had in Boulogne. On my second visit, I tried the Tantanmen Poulet, which was also really good, but my heart still leans toward the Tonkatsu. Both dishes were satisfying and full of depth, making this place a go-to for ramen lovers.

Service: 3/5 Service was excellent during my first visit when the restaurant was less crowded, but on my second visit with a larger group, the staff seemed overwhelmed, and their attitude toward some of my friends was a bit rude.

Key Notes:

• One of the top ramen places in Boulogne—definitely worth a visit! • The Porc Tonkatsu Ramen is a must-try if you enjoy rich, flavorful broths • Be prepared for long waits during busy hours, especially with larger groups • Service can vary depending on the crowd, so try visiting during off-peak times for a more...

We were so exhausted and this was so close to our hotel (literally right outside our door), the reviews were super high so we figured we would take it easy that night and and enjoy something warm. We liked it so much we ended our trip the next night with it again! Really cute interior, and exterior patio! The service was great and quick! It was always busy but we never had to wait for a table.

The takoyaki was delicious! We got that both nights. The spicy ramens are not very spicy at all, which was perfect for us - but if you are wanting it for the heat level this is not it. Delicious broths on all the soups we tried!! We are still thinking about this ramen even after and have tried some in our home city and haven't found one quite as good.

Highly recommend and rave about this as we talk about our...

Currently the best ramen in Paris! I have tried all their broths, Tonkotsu and Chintan are excellent. I would say Paitan needs to be a bit more thick, not rich enough for me, but that's a personal preference. Another personal preference from me is the marinated egg's sweetness, I would prefer it a bit more salty and a bit less sweet.

Their tonkotsu niboshi tsukumen is also amazing, although I was a bit confused by some toppings being on top of the noodles instead of directly in the sauce (not very convenient to eat).

Gyoza are excellent and very well crafted and cooked, served with a unique sauce. Karaage chicken is very good as well.

There are some elements I would prefer done differently, but overall it's the best ramen in Paris right now, I can only hope that they continue to...

Our second time here and it was top as per usual. For starters, we ordered edamame and chicken karaage. The chicken came with egg mayo dip and it was perfect. For ramen, I went for spicy tonkotsu (can’t remember the actual name) while bf took the vegetarian ramen. Both were super flavorful and just so good. Pro tip - if you order the vegetarian ramen, you can ask them for chilli to make it spicy! They provide chilli paste and oil (looks homemade) and it really elevates the flavor. One thing though but maybe it’s just me - I found the bamboo shoots weird tasting. But honestly think it might just be cause I’m not a big fan of it to begin with. For anyone missing Japanese ramen, you won’t be disappointed!
