We had a table reserved for 6 people on a Saturday night. The service is good but you can tell a lot of the staff is new or temporary. The manager of the restaurant was doing a great job seeing as the place was packed. The ambiance is what one should expect of a finer dining establishment, a well furnished, enjoyable, warm (almost too warm in the literal sense) experience. The restaurant is located in the middle of a park giving you the option of dining outside in a nice environment.
Overall the food is really good. No menus is the only downside. I paid 42€ for a full course, entree, plat, dessert, drinks non included. I had a peculiar egg dish as the entree which was tasty but the lack of seasoning, because of the cooking method, Is regrettable. Still good tho. My meal was a couple ribs of porc, served with fries and BBQ sauce. The porc was perfect, except in small quantity and the sides were just fine. Everyone at the table was very satisfied with their meal except my mother whose fish was lacking in quantity and she was left unfulfilled. I was recommended the "fondant au chocolat with mascarpone ice cream". Being a huge fan of fondants, I can tell you with certainty that this one is really good. Pretty generous dessert quantity and filling wise. I would recommend sticking to the meat as far as main dishes go, as all of them were really good at our table.
Overall a good experience, if I ever get the chance to go again I would, if only to test out the other items on the menu.
TLDR: good service and location, the food is good but idk about the fish and...
Read moreFancy, but too relaxed. We had a big group. I'm not ok with my 3 year old son running around the place while we're having a meal. He was well behaved, worst case to let him have the phone/tablet. There were a lot of children running close to our table and other guest's table which was mind blown to me. You don't have this in the US, unless you go to an arcade with food or indoor playground with food. It's ok there. The service was whatever, I know they're busy but still. Beautiful place. We'll have to try them another time, hopefully for better service and no children running loose. Another thing, they have a cat on this property. I think it's neat, but health code in the US... This isn't ok.
The food was great. I loved all the appetizers. I wanted something light and small. I took the scallops. It's fresh but no taste. I would have done the recommendation salmon, but I wasn't in the mood for it. I'm ok with my selection. Maybe add salt and pepper to it next time. My husband did steak, it was great. I'm a big fan of Mille-Feuille. It's not the best I've had, but I was actually a little disappointed in the Mille-Feuille. It's good, if the entire bottom wasn't burnt. It was the first time for me to have a burnt Mille-Feuille. I normally would have asked for another one. But since I was with my husband's entire family who were ready to go, I didn't want to go through the trouble.
Overall, my experience wasn't so great. Next summer, we're in Paris. I'll have to redo...
Read moreThe restaurant is located in a charming place, the interior is very nice. After the dinner we were sure that the location and interior are the almost only advantages of the place, the food and service require a lot of improvement. It is probably a popular place, during our visit there were many very young people sitting with drinks and talk. it gives the place positive energy.
Unfortunately the food and especially the service leave much to be desired. First of all our waiter, despite the fact that there were not many guests in the restaurant yet, could not remember our orders. Secondly he didn't know neither what the restaurant has to offer nor the ingredients contained in the dishes.
The dishes were ok, nothing to rave about, nothing to criticize. At this price level there are restaurants in Paris offering better quality food, better seasoned above all (we had the impression that they do not use salt here).
We do not regret coming, beautiful park, beautiful interior....
