La Cave de Monsieur Guy / La Grange de Monsieur Guy — Restaurant in Boulogne-sur-Mer

Visited here before going to a restaurant but actually wished we could have eaten here. It's a really cool and relaxed bar where you can kick back with a beer, a cider, a wine or pretty much anything else. The planchettes looked absolutely amazing and we will be returning to Boulogne-sur-Mer specifically to try one or two of them. At least 4 stars, maybe even five, for the small pub standard. A very welcome formula in Boulogne. It was also popular with the locals, which is a good sign. Friendly service, lots of tasty draft beers and wines to choose from. Try the Black Swan if you like dark beer/porter! Such a great place in the heart of the old walled town! Absolutely delicious food. Really cool mix of French style dishes and some fusion elements like leek sushi or deep fried pork belly and soy glaze. Lots of places in France (like the others on the same street) serve traditional food which is great, but so so nice to have something a bit different too.
