We were desperate to come here as it one of the only places in Collioure which offers vegetarian food. Beautiful venue. Initially slow, but very friendly service from the friendly waiter. Tasty but small portions (even for tapas!) We were served all the food at once, bar one item. It arrived 45 mins later. We did ask a few times as we just wanted to leave by then as the moment really had passed! We asked for the bill at one point, deciding just to cut out losses. The response from (the manager?) was never apologetic, ‘yes, it’s coming’. When the daal finally arrived, it was a very tasty cold daal, which suggests it could certainly have been brought roughly at same time of other items. We ordered a lot of food. It was beautifully presented and some of it was very tasty but there was a slightly pretentious air and the vegetarian food ( we tried all of it) left us hungry. This was not helped by the fact that the lentil dish didn’t turn up. We would have killed for some potato- in any tapas form! We had to get our teenage vegetarians another meal on way home. It would have been so lovely if someone had said ‘sorry about that- we forgot to put that plate through when we took the order’ or just ‘sorry’ or perhaps just an apologetic smile?! There were people desperate to get in whilst we were desperately trying to get out! I do love a tapas bar normally but I wouldn’t be back here. On arrival, we sat for a long time and I asked ( the manager?) politely as she walked past if we could have menu. The response ‘it’s coming’ was delivered with an air of ‘how dare you’. This was probably of sign of things...
Read moreWe only came here because l am vegan and we couldn’t find anything to eat for me. As it turned out a normal restaurant will be better with salad and chips. We thought the people are completely confused in running this place. Although all food was cold it took absolutely ages to get anything. Then finally 3 vegan dishes turned up, but nothing for my husband who is not vegan. Also cold potato didn’t appear for ages we don’t know for what reason, clearly all food only need assembling not cooking. Also service was very confused, they brought our 3 shearing dishes but not plates to eat them from. This business with wine need to be removed from the service, as it take too much time. The waiter looked visibly annoyed that we declined the wine. We don’t drink before 18.00, ever. The taste of dishes was also confused, too much salt, paper and vinegar. We didn’t find anything tasty at all. All in all waste of time and 91 euro, we won’t come back and we do...
Read moreWords can't do justice for the amazing experience we had at this restaurant. Each dish was amazing and left us chuckling at how good it was. The White Gaspacho, Ajo Blanco was so good we would have come back just for that! You can tell the team there also cares about a full experience as they had fantastic recommendations for drinks, and even had non alcoholic rhum and gin for their cocktails. The star of the evening was the desert though, and it had us gasping in delight. Chocolat ganache with a black olive confiture, and chocolate crumbles, created a mix of flavors out of this world. Highly recommend and would definitely encourage saving room for...
