Owner Dave is a true gem. Le Pukèko is an intimate spot in the old part of Cahors. A laid back, unpretentious vibe where locals feel comfortable, and strangers become friends. Service is friendly and casual. The burgers are scratch made and delicious. Fries are some of the best around. If you are a fish and chips fan, Dave takes great pride and care in the prep. His first language is English but is very fluent in French, and was great at helping translate some great conversation with some of locals we had the pleasure of meeting and sharing some moments with. The burgers were raw, we were not asked how we wanted them, so we expected medium, as is the standard everywhere. When we asked why, the visibly pissed off waitress went to get the (british) boss who was convincing us that bleu is how they serve it everywhere in France. Fantastic steaks and home made burgers. Very good on service and price. Going back in a couple of days the burgers were so good.
