Funny how everyone crowds into the restaurants right in the center, while this gem sits just 150 m away — yes, as the crow flies, people. You get a view of the ruins and Mt. Ventoux from the terrace. But sure, keep queuing for overpriced mediocrity down the road 😉

We almost skipped it because of some grumpy old reviews — turns out: new owner, new vibe. Those 1-star comments? They belong in the museum next door.

The staff? Genuinely nice. They explain what’s on your plate and do it with charm. The food? A well-curated mix: meat, fish, veggies — all balanced, spiced right, and not trying too hard. Oh, and they start you off with a little appetizer on the house (small thing, big smile).

Local wines? Yes, and good ones. Prices? Way fairer than the busy places. And here's a bonus: they're open till 21:30 — not like others who shut down by 21:00 and leave half the terrace empty because you didn’t reserve. Not here. You feel welcome — whether inside or outside.

We’ve eaten at quite a few “top-rated” places in town, and honestly? Many were riding on old glory. This one actually delivers. I'd recommend it to friends - even the picky ones.

So yeah, walk the extra 50 meters. It won’t kill you - might even help after dessert 😄

Excellent food and service! Very nice host, great quality food and nice outside seating (quiet street just 50m from main road, opposite the Roman ruins, view on Mt Ventoux and the cathedral!) - all for a very fair price! The food was excellent (we had 2 starters and 2 mains plus 2 desserts), all very good quality and the host explained everything, you really feel welcome and they care about you! After 2 very disappointed nights in Vaison we finally found good food! Plus the open Rose is a very good wine. I wish we had found this place earlier and saved ourself the expensive bad food choices!
