O'Grincheux — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

We googled this place while strolling through this beautiful village. Based on the reviews we decided to try this. It was well worth it. We had escargots for starters. For the main course, I had the Jambonneau (fall off the bone pork shank) and my wife had the quiche lorraine with salad. Cream Brulee to finish. Everything was excellent and portions are generous. The pork was well cooked and fall off the bone, fries that came with it were well done and not greasy. The quiche was equally good. Local Meteor draft beer was also good. Four people working in the restaurant which was full outside and we sat inside and were the only ones. We were recommended by locals to dine at this restaurant, and we are so glad we did! The best meal we had since arriving in Alsace from Australia. Aperol spritz great as was the Pizza. Star of the dishes was veal cordon bleu with mushroom cream sauce. Delicous. Not a fancy restaurant at all but food couldn't be faulted. Only comment would be better furniture for the restaurant and the staff could be more friendly and engaging but overall good venue....

Zostaliśmy niemiło potraktowani ze względu na zamówienie. Pizza była dla dzieci kolacją, my nie chcieliśmy jeść. Zamówiliśmy piwa i gorące czekolady. Kelner był oburzony, nie umiał wyjaśnić w czym jest problem, tylko z nadętą miną zabrał 2 nakrycia (piwa i czekolady przewyższały koszt pizzy). Kazał dopłacać do zamówienia. Rozumiem, że być może jest jakaś wewnętrzna polityka zarządzania zamówienia, jednak sposób przedstawienia nam tego był upokarzający , niemiły, bez zwykłego wyjaśnienia. Zawsze przecież można znaleźć rozwiązanie, wyjaśnić łagodnie i potraktować człowieka jak człowieka. W naszym przypadku wizytówka oddaje nastrój naszej wizyty i obsługi względem nas. Zawsze zastanawia mnie czy kelner miał zły dzień po prostu czy uprzejmość wobec klientów jest nieautentyczna i mierzona wyłącznie...
