Pub James'On — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

We visited this pub whilst on a family holiday for some saturday evening drinks. It looked cozy and welcoming but sadly proved to be the complete opposite. Evidently a tourist trap, we paid €42 for 2 drinks (rum and coke) which is absolutely a scam (especially given the coke was from an already opened, flat bottle), another guest with us also asked for vodka and they ‘didn’t know what she was saying’ despite vodka being the same in both English and French and a bottle of vodka was sat open on the shelf behind the bar. This resulted in them serving her a gin instead in an absolut vodka glass😵‍💫 The staff were also extremely rude, actually making fun of us because despite thinking they’re discreet speaking french most of us who were stood at the bar have quite a good basic understanding of the language. Absolutely abhorrent service but the perfect place to go if you want to be ripped off and treated...

Racist employee! We have been there around 9pm. Firstly they didnt care about of us , after 15 mins they brought menu but it was french we couldnt understand it and started wait for them , 10 mins or more we waited he still didnt care. Then 2 french people came there , he went them clean the table and get the order (when we were still waiting) after that i stand up, he came and said “ok fine by” . I said him we wanted to just order but we couldnt understand the menu he said “here is france sorry by”. He was so rude ! there were 6 table occupaid and 4 of them was turkish . I dont need to talk french then you have to talk turkish !!!!! Just racist people!!!!! But earning money...

Colmar is an interesting place, somewhat like Peyton Place or The World's End - a very cliquish place. While visiting the is Irish Pub, early Sunday morning, a few people this time of day. We sat down at a table in a corner and order coffees and a croissant. A couple of locals (2) entered the pub. Ordered another coffee and was told to sit anywhere else but the table we were at.
