It's an ok place, we probably not deserving the high rating it currently has. Very touristy, in all its aspects (had to wait to get in despite free tables, as the personnel was so overworked; got treated with a clear "we don't need you" attitude; got served with the bill without asking for it, to free the table; ok prices, although a bit higher than less mainstream places), and nothing wrong with it. The food was also ok: good selection, very "traditional" food, good but by far not the best we ate during our week in the region (nor the other times we visited). The Tarte flambée was clearly somewhat undercooked, also in comparison with how other places do it. On the plus side: the service was fast, the restaurant is located in a beautiful place, and it is open slightly longer than others, in a region where it is difficult to find a place that still serves you dinner if you look for it at...

Horrible bouche à la reine, horrible tarte flambée. Pasta was greesy, meat like some gum. Tarte was also bad, tasted like old greesy salty cake. Our waitress seemed to be surprised when I gave my opinion and reminded me what kind of meat I actually ate. I have never eaten anything as disgusting and the waitress suggested that I probably forgot what kind of meat I ate. Actually this kind of meat (veal)needs to be very fine and delicate..no discussion about it. What also made me angry is that no compensation was proposed. Just discussion on your taste and suggestion that there were few people ordering and didn't complain. Unlike french tradition, tables aren’t crowded 👍🏻 nice atmosphere.
