Fantastic experience! Had diner in Cafe de la Plage Hossegor for my wedding anniversary. Requested a table with a view to the sunset. The best table they had was allocated and we had a magnificent view! On top of this the food quality was top. I had the chipirons (Octopus) a la plancha and this was a tasty dish! Followed by the duck magret, which was perfectly cooked and orange and apricot sauce was perfectly balanced (not too sweet) to match the duck. A generous portion of homemade fries was served as side dish and this was yummy! My wife went for the healthy option with the vegetarian bowl and she was also delighted with it. Halloumi was really nice in it and it was a generous portion with varied veg: edamame beans, wakame,... The rose wine (Minuty Prestige - Côte de Provence) was one of the best I tasted! I didn't go for the first price but thought quality for price was really good. Service was efficient, attentive and respectful to give us time to make our mind with what we wanted to eat. Thank you Nathan! We had the chance to meet the owner and discovered she has only been running the place for 6 months. This is impressive considering the experience we had! I will return to the place as for me it has it all: good people, good quality and...
Read moreThe food was actually good but there was a big sharp piece of broken glass in my salmon bowl. I actually bit on it and it hurt my tooth and cut my gum. We let them know and gave them the glass, they said okay we’ll make you a new bowl. That was it! We’re really relaxed and didn’t want to make an issue… At the end, they charged us full price for everything, nobody asked if I was okay or came out to apologize or explain. It was a shard of glass like a shark’s tooth - if I swallowed it, I would have ripped open my throat. The guy was almost rude when we paid, they really didn’t care at all. So watch out if you eat here - they have glass in their food and they don’t care if...
Read moreFor a non expensive meal, you probably won't find better food than this! I know it's consistently good as I've come here every time I've visited Hossegor and it never failed. The chefs are a little creative with the ingredients and each dish is a little surprise and not short of pleasurable.
I saw a few posts about not amazing service, understandable in peak tourist season, but I've never had this issue and if you're looking for food above average expectation, this is the place you need to go before...
