Truck'r 1957 — Restaurant in Draguignan

We’ve now eaten here for the second time and once again, it was a complete success.

I ordered the Victoire Burger again and, just like the first time, it was absolutely fantastic. From now on, it's officially the best burger I’ve ever had! Previously, that title belonged to a burger I ate at Camden Market in London three years ago.

The whole experience was amazing from the very beginning. Right when you sit down, you're brought a carafe of cool water. After placing the order, you're served a small bowl of olives, which makes the already short wait even more pleasant.

The food (in my case, the Victoire Burger) was served on a plate with a salad and beautifully cut, uniquely shaped fries. They were so delicious that I almost felt bad using the ketchup and mayo packets that came with them.

The burger was simply outstanding. All the ingredients were well-balanced and contributed just the right amount to the overall flavor. The meat was, in my opinion, perfection: full of flavor, juicy but not greasy, and easy to bite into. Nothing dripped out, the taste stayed right in the meat.

The service was incredibly friendly throughout our visit. They regularly checked in, to see if everything was okay, if we liked the food, or if we needed anything else.

First of all, it must be said that Truck'r 1957 is a rarity: there are still restaurateurs who genuinely care for their guests and are passionate about what they do. The restaurant owes its name to an old Renault truck from 1957, which has been used in various parts of the interior.

The service is warm, flexible, authentic and pragmatic. The food is consistently tasty and of high quality. A good, clear menu, the daily specials are highly recommended (in the photo, the lobster roll, which was very tasty).

It is rare to find such a down-to-earth, honest and very good restaurant in such a tourist area, with good value for money.

In unserer Urlaubszeit haben wir einige Restaurants besucht. Immer nur mit bester Bewertung. Wir waren leider jedesmal enttäuscht. Die Essen waren allenfalls ok, aber man wurde einfach als Gast nicht gut behandelt und fühlte sich nicht willkommen und überflüssig. Das Truck'r 1957 ist eine völlig andere Liga. Wir wurden vom ersten Moment an super freundlich, offen und herzlich empfangen. Wir hatten eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und das Essen war grandios. Es ist toll zu sehen wie auch der Chef persönlich sich um seine Gäste kümmert. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit und bedanken uns herzlich beim Team. Ihr habt unseren Urlaub gerettet! Merci!

Pendant nos vacances, nous avons visité quelques restaurants. Toujours avec la meilleure note. Malheureusement, nous avons été déçus à chaque fois. La nourriture était au mieux correcte, mais vous n'étiez tout simplement pas bien traité en tant qu'invité et ne vous sentiez pas le bienvenu et superflu. Le Truck'r 1957 est dans une ligue complètement différente. Dès l'instant où nous sommes arrivés, nous avons été accueillis super sympa, ouvertement et chaleureusement. Nous avons eu un service très attentionné et la nourriture était excellente. C'est formidable de voir comment le patron s'occupe personnellement de ses invités.
