Fled Paris because of the "canicule".
Reserved online. The reception, the young staff were all good.
Ok to be cynical the weather was not fantastic. The previous day when the weather was simply great there were no tables available.
So this review is under reserve because of a day that was average.
The young staff is so welcoming and servers so many, is you wonder who to tip at the end of the day.
Finally I tipped the young lady the highest, who opened my bottle of Crozez-Hermitage (not my favorite but hey when you don't have the choice) in a breeze.
Ok you idiots not for a bottle of wine but other booze too.
And of course the young girl who welcomed me and seated me near the beach.
But the tables are very close so people ending up watching (couples have nothing to speak to each other end up watching you like animals in a zoo).
Like the couple who lost in blackjack and was scratching desperately her...

The kids burger was either plain or with cheese...but without the option of bacon (despite the fact that the kids were allowed to have bacon in the past).
I asked for a Latte macchiato or a cappuccino but was only given the option of americano or café viennois. The steak was good but slightly overcooked and warm as opposed to hot.
Neither of the 2 owners seem to be present on the day that we visited and perhaps this was the reason that the staff were less...
Read moreThe restaurant is right by the sea, so the view from the terrace is wonderful. The menu is interesting. I found many dishes of traditional French and Flemish cuisine. The grilled cod fillet with black rice was delicious. The Flemish stew with pieces of gingerbread and cinnamon is not my flavour at all. A very interesting combination for me but not to my taste. It's something for Flemish foodies. But the meat was excellent. Everything was aesthetically presented, the service was courteous and friendly and I would recommend it....
