I completely understand that dealing with travelers can be overwhelming and exhausting, but approaching a potential customer saying that you have a bakery based on a package that they are carrying, walk away as you are about to refuse service, even before that customer places an order is rude and unnecessary.
The place didn't have a single person at the time and we were just looking to by some take away coffee, no intention at all to eat our food at the establishment, after all, we are at the beach, we can sit in the sand and leave the spots for your more desirable customers. We get it, you want to make as much as money as possible with your outdoor road view seats. We wanted as well a potentially a long term breakfast place, since we are in Juan Les Pins for 5 days. We got the coffee but definitely not coming back. If you work in this field, guess what, not every traveller is the same....
Read moreNot very flexible. We asked for a crêpe with just ham and no cheese the owner agreed but then served us a dish with cheese. The owner said he could not make crêpes without cheese. This is completely untrue. I am lactose intolerant and I’ve had crêpes all over the world without cheese, including this town. Again this is a minor change in the crepe. The server acted like it was impossible to omit cheese from a crepe because crepe always need cheese, which is not true.

For food, we had a croissant (which was perfectly golden, but a little over-proofed), a huge and delicious ham, mushroom and cheese omelet, which came with a small salad and a few pieces of bagel, and a sweet crêpe filled with apricot jam, which was very well made but could have used a bit more jam.
