To address the owner’s reply:
First of all, I insisted on being seated earlier because we arrived before others. The first person in the queue even acknowledged this, telling the waitress that we were there earlier, but the waitress ignored this fact completely. When we arrived, another waiter saw us and asked the first three groups if we were waiting; you can confirm this with him. Unfortunately, I don’t have any proof, so you can believe whatever you want.
Secondly, it’s true that the waitress rolled her eyes. I’m not the only one who saw it.
Lastly, I never threatened to publish anything online when I was there. It’s normal for someone who experienced such bad behavior to share their experience after. How will you feel when you decided to leave and the waitress started singing?
All in all, I fully understand the challenges of managing a popular place like yours and acknowledge the qualities that contribute to your popularity. However, this doesn’t mean everything is perfect. I hope you can consider this incident carefully rather than dismissing it outright.
I was recommended this place, but I didn't have the chance to enjoy the dish due to a misunderstanding about the waiting queue. The girl with short hair behaved in a racist manner toward the Asian girl ahead of us (she rolled her eyes, and from my perspective, it was just interesting). Then, this racist behavior extended to us. Other people confirmed that we arrived earlier, but she ignored this and gave priority to French people. I'm very sad to see this happen because I've always been told that French people are not that "welcoming," but I've met so many nice people in my life. What she did just confirmed the stereotype others have about the French. This behavior made me angry and brought me to tears when I left. I'm sorry that the reputation of this beautiful country is being tarnished by...
Read moreAwfully rude staff and especially the girl with short dark hair who said she’s a manager named Julie. While waiting in a queue for a table for 40 mins I saw her being very annoyed at other people asking to try another type of wine (just a second option). She rolled her eyes at them. But when I got a table and was again waiting for 20 minutes to even get a food menu she started to to talk to random people walking by while I kept waiting to at least get a menu. I lightly touched her on the shoulder as she didn’t t hear me calling her several times and asked for a glass of wine. She asked if I ordered food and I said I didn’t see a food menu yet. She grubbed forcefully drinks menu, shouted bye and went away! People at the nearby table were shocked as was I. When I went inside the restaurant and said I just need a menu she was absolutely mad - started to shout at me and said that I was shaking her shoulder (while I barely touched her to make her notice me) and shouted she was busy and told me to leave. She kept shouting and all the staff joined her. The man at the nearby table who saw what happened went inside and told them it’s true that this Julie woman was very rude but they completely disregarded him. I had to leave in a terrible mood and would never recommend to have anyone to do anything with these extremely...
Read moreIt was out our only day in Antibes and we were really excited to try la pescataria. Unfortunately even after running over here in the hot sun google delayed me about three minutes but we still got here about 5 min before closing and they unfortunately could not take us. I would understand if the seafood was sold out or if there were others waiting for a table but everyone was eating and they were actively serving food out. It was basically they didn’t want to serve us and we will not beg for food. Do not recommend their service or eagerness to...
