Extremely rude staff. Except for the manager Julia, who is an experienced barista, the rest of them are very rude and inexperienced. I have spent over 2000€ within the past year and I only ask for the same drink every time. You would think out of respect for such a faithful customer, the staff would try and learn this one drink which is latte with a bit of chocolate in it so the drink is called mocha, very easy to make. Copenhagen coffee shop is a chain and this drink is on the menu so they should be trained to make it.
Other than Julia, no one else knows how to make it so a lot of the times I am forced to pay 6€ and then throw away the drink. I tried to plead with them to try and get some training or ask the manager to train them. They still refuse to learn and hand you this awful cocktail of sugar-water-milk drink. I asked the manager to see if she could help and she said that they are not trained and in France training is not mandatory. She has tried to teach them, so they watch but do not practice! They prefer to practice on their customers which is very unfair. Why should we pay for a drink which is not the same as what is on the menu? If the drink is on their menu they need to know how to make it.
So I am putting an end to this and will not return. The staff are very rude and untrained. Drinks are overpriced, coffee beans are outdated and worst of all their dishwasher is broken so if you decide to go there, take your own mug with you. I did not want to leave this comment out my respect for Julia (who is the only one trained and a real barista and very polite) but I have to warn others. There is a fantastic coffee shop around the corner called " Nomad Coffee ". They are excellent. Very clean, amazing coffee bean quality and best of all the staff are extremely...
Read moreGood coffee, average food and absolutely appalling service.
We ordered a ‘bacon and egg’ muffin off the board at the back of the coffee shop and when it came it was covered in cheese. We queried this with the waitress and she said “yes, it has cheese, it’s written on the menu at the till” she then proceeded to tell us there was a picture of this sandwich at the till which shows cheese. When asked why it was not written on the board, there was no explanation.
Unfortunately my partner gets very sick from eating cheese and wasn’t aware it would come with cheese.
We informed the waitress who said it was clearly on the picture so ‘that’s it’. When I tried to explain that it’s similar to an allergy, she told me to ‘calm down’ and said we should have informed them at the till.
Why would we inform them of an allergy or preference for something that wasn’t listed on the board where we ordered from?
The waitress was so incredibly rude, saying “I will make another for you if you ask respectfully” - we were not rude, we just pointed out that it should have been on the board as well as the picture at the till, and that it wasn’t clear.
Absolutely awful service - I don’t know what side of the bed she got out of but she needs to have a nap and come back feeling a bit kinder!
Be kind next time, as you never know why someone might struggle with...
Read moreWe went because we met you in Lisbon and we love your coffee shops because you have a great specialty coffee, a good beans, very good origins (Peru rigth now), etc...but this time in your french coffee shop we have to say you that there are a mistake with the people dont take cow milk.
We drink oat milk and you have it but not barista edition. This milk destroys the coffee, no match, it have an acid flavour and the result is horrible, besides you serve the coffee very very hot and this, break the mix.
The best oat milk for these specialties coffees is Oatly Barista but if you want the same that you have in your coffee shop actually, we suggest you that you have Alpro Barista. Sorry for the large text but we love Copenhagen Lab and yesterday the experience was very bad and we would not come back.
This review is an kindly advice from freaks coffee addicted, its a pity to break down a very good coffee for a bad milk above is not cheap...
