This review reflects many visits to the restaurant over the years. Up until this summer I would have put a 4 stars all along. The food is nice; the atmosphere is great and the service WAS great. We always come in a big group, at least 2 to 3 times every summer. This year I tried to book again as usual. They ask me for a deposit (first time ever) as they have lots of no-show. I understand perfectly well ! I am used to it and have no problem with that. Except that the manager (I suppose as he was the 3rd person I was talking to) tells me I have to come in person ! to leave a deposit ! I live an hour drive away from the restaurant… that would be 2 hours drive without counting the time lost to find a parking space, which is a nightmare in Antibes/Juan Les Pins. I joke a bit about that and the manager just hangs up …. I call back and express my surprise about the manager’s reaction…. And explain that I understand very well their position, that I am used to leave my credit card details to book a table but I am told they don’t do that electronically…. (first time ever !!! ). I say I am willing to leave my credit card details with them and he refuses, saying I have to come to their restaurant… I have never ever ever been asked to come and pay in person a deposit … how is that even a reasonable request ? If you leave down the road it is ok (-ish) but not if you live far away. But I must say that even the idea of leaving some cash is a bit weird and totally unheard of …Pity. I loved going there and so did my other 25-odd other friends … Plenty other restaurants to book in reasonable way… Their loss.
EDIT after the owner answer: I was surprised as well, but I can assure you it happened. I just doubled checked your phone number and it is indeed the one I used, twice times (as the person hung up on me) on Tuesday July...
Read moreOkay.. let's just start with the place. It's beautiful. Right on the beach (in fact they have a beach club where you can rent chairs). But, if you just want to do lunch or dinner, then give this a try. We have been back 3x in our two weeks, because it's just fabulous. (Note: we have not done that anywhere else) Didn't try for dinner (probably need a reservation), but lunch was easy enough to walk in. Dining is at tables with your toes in the sand. Views of the mediterranean - can it get any better? Yes... yes it can. The menu is extensive, from sushi to salads to pasta to steaks. Once you're in Antibes/JLP for a while, you'll notice a lot of the menus look similar and not much variety. This is your palate cleanser. Everything we've had has been excellent - in particular the tuna tartare with the ginger. Desserts are amazing as well - try the Coupe Colonel. The wine list has some great selections at reasonable prices. The service is good, and the eye candy here cannot be over-emphasized. Just go, and...

I had a rather strange experience at this place.
I ordered a glass of champagne, which was listed on the menu at €15 for a 160 ml portion. However, when the waiter brought it, the glass clearly indicated a capacity of less than 100 ml — and it was filled accordingly.
I politely pointed this out and asked why the portion was so small. The waiter took the glass, went away, and returned with exactly the same glass, just filled a bit more — maybe around 110–120 ml at most.
The glass itself was more like something used for an aperitif or liqueur — not what you’d expect for champagne.
So, there are really only two explanations: They don’t know how to properly serve champagne. Or — they know exactly what they’re doing and are trying to quietly overcharge.
Neither is acceptable.
We paid nearly €50 per person for sunbeds and towels, so naturally we expected proper service — not to be short-poured and left wondering if we were being scammed over a glass of champagne.
Disappointing and...
