Restaurant Le J — Restaurant in Grasse

Went there more by chance (and because of decent Google Ratings), hence: without any reservation. Therefore we had to wait around 30 minutes for a table, which was ok. The Service was very reliable, noted our name, even showed us were we will be seated upon our return. We chose one Menu (great: you can pick every single dish to create your very own menue), one a la carte. Everything was very tasty, local Cuisine, not fancy and the price seemed adequate. Service was unfortunately always in kinda rush - so there was little time for a small socialising chat at each table. But the place was brimming, so that may be understandable. If you make a reservation or come early, you can also enjoy a great sea-view (which we didn't). The main dish, "Gnocchettis," was particularly delightful, and they kindly prepared it without chorizo to accommodate my dietary preferences. The portion was generous, and though I was quite full, I indulged and finished the dish simply because it was so enjoyable.

The dessert, a "Riz au lait" was a pleasant surprise. I expected a good rice pudding with flavour, but it turned out to be not only delicious but also had great texture and crunch.

Absolute great experience with Restaurant Le J, the owner was super friendly and patiently explained the whole menu in English. The menu was designed based on the fresh ingredients they get on the day and was presented in a creative way. The main courses (especially the prawn dish) had multiple layers of flavours and textures that worked out well. The dessert was a bomb and a must try! The caramelised hazelnuts on top was a highlight.
