I’ve been coming to Royal Beach for 10 years and the experience depends on the season and the team they employ, sadly this season the service I experienced recently was very poor and I won’t be going back anytime soon. You get much better service at any of the beach clubs in Juan les Pins and the sea is much cleaner.
I spent the afternoon there with a friend visiting for his birthday, there were hardly any customers there and after we ordered lunch from the very restricted menu of pizzas and paninis on the sun loungers we never saw another server until they told us we needed to leave the loungers at 6pm (which is usual). We asked if we could move to the lounge area, the young beach boy said yes no problem so we did, but they had removed all the sofa cushions from the bamboo style sofas so it was impossible to sit down, we asked 3 times for drinks and cushions while they served other customers on adjacent loungers. The first server ignored us, the second server was very rude and said the area was closed while still serving drinks to other customers, eventually after debating with the third and most senior server there (in French by the way) they begrudgingly and quite literally threw down lounge cushions and we finally got a drink with a bad attitude. They advertise the lounge area as being open till 8pm but clearly when there are few customers they just wanted to leave. Very disappointing. Spend your...

Each day was a perfect blend of relaxation and enjoyment, thanks to the fantastic service and beautiful surroundings. The beach itself is a gem, with pristine sand and clear blue waters that made every swim refreshing and delightful. We had reserved sunbeds for our stay, and they were wonderfully comfortable, providing the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. The beach never felt overcrowded, which added to the peaceful ambiance. One of the highlights of our stay was the daily lunches. Despite our extended stay, the service never wavered in quality, and we appreciated how they made us feel welcome each day.Overall, our weekend experience at Royal Beach Plage Privée was everything we could have asked for and more. It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy fantastic food, and take in the stunning beauty of the Côte d'Azur. We left feeling refreshed and...
Read moreThe one-star rating is based on the extremely poor service and overall disappointing experience.
We booked three days in advance and were among the top names on the reservation list. At the time of booking, we were told they would try to get us front-row seats. When we arrived, I politely mentioned this, only to be told that all front-row spots were taken by guests who booked earlier — which was clearly not true, as I had seen our name at the top of the list myself.
While I understand they prioritize their hotel guests, and we accepted not getting a front-row spot, what happened next was completely unacceptable. The staff member — who was rude from the beginning — told us that if any front-row guests didn’t show up, we could be moved there. Eventually, five front-row seats remained empty. Instead of offering them to us (we were three people and had arrived an hour earlier), he gave them to another group who came much later.
This kind of treatment shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for paying guests. I cannot recommend this place, as the service fails to meet even basic expectations — let alone those you’d expect from a place tied to a hotel of...
