I was really looking forward to this, since it is close to Nice and looked promising. However at the end I was really disappointed. I was there at the opening night, so I hope they fix certain things. Regarding the positive, the food was really good and really tasty, although the pitas could be a bit less dry. But, the portions didn’t allow you to enjoy the food. And trust me, in Greece, because I am a Greek, living here, I can guarantee that these portions are not served this small for this kind of food. I was expecting more in terms of decoration, it didn’t remind me of anything greek, apart from some statues here and there. The menu was not well translated (google translate). It’s such a shame since you pretend to be a Greek restaurant, act like one , and have your Greek provider verify the menu. Hope you will get it fixed after the proposals we gave you. Music, not at all Greek, again do not know if it was because of the opening but I heard only two Greek songs. Also, you do not break plates during these songs, they had nothing to do with this “custom”, and it’s so graphic. Like we expect to see a French guy with a beret and a baguette. The service was ok, the staff were really kind and welcoming, even though you saw they were under the pressure for the first day. Cocktails were amazing! One mishap about the food, we had ordered the fish that SAYS that it comes with vegetables, not as “accompanying” which is extra, and still you didn’t bring them, not removed it from the price, even though you admitted it was your mistake. Which brings me to the price. So expensive, and at the end we left hungry. Not at all like if we leave a Greek restaurant, and trust me, this comes from Greek people and a French guy who spends a lot of time in Greece. It’s a pity that it’s French Riviera prices for a Greek restaurant. However there are other Greek restaurants in the region, owned by Greeks, with better prices and much better quality/quantity food. Again, I hope you fix all these and make it better, but I was really disappointed so I don’t think I will be...
Read moreI have been on vacation in gorgeous Cote d’Azur for 8 days and all meals I’ve had across numerous establishments have been fantastic - from hospitable service to the meals themselves.
Until today.
My family of 4 came across Yamas and figured we’d give it a go as every other restaurant at the mall was full during the lunch rush. We were promptly seated by a friendly gentleman at the door. However, after waiting for 5 minutes, we witnessed two other parties that arrived AFTER US getting their menus and being greeted by the server. As soon as I could, I made eye contact with the server and he walked over, and all he said was “J’arrive, J’arrive” (I’m coming). After another 5 minutes, he still did not flinch and we watched as he continued to address other patrons.
In disbelief, we gathered all of our belongings and walked out. In all sincerity, other than being American tourists and not speaking perfect French (even though we always try our hardest), there is absolutely nothing we could have done to deserve this type of disrespect and deliberate disregard for hospitality/customer service.
Tourists: be forewarned! If you’re looking for absolute garbage treatment to kill your vibe while on vacation, this is the place to go!
On the bright side, my family ended up eating at Evasion, and while we had to wait a little bit to be seated, it was wonderful from start to finish! Highly recommended - please go there instead!
In the end, it all makes sense to me now. Of all oceanside restaurants at Cap 3000 (we walked the entire boardwalk), Yamas was the only one with open tables.
Finally, to the dark haired server with the long hipster beard (and, I truly hope you read this): it’s imcomprehensible how you’re employed! For the benefit of other customers, please find another line of work because being a server is simply a terrible fit for you!

Read moreI visited mid October with 6 colleagues for lunch. We decided to order different plates to share: tzatziki, peppers, houmous, halloumi fries, greek salad, burrata tomatoes, chicken brochettes, and for dessert, brownie, pistacchio millefeuille, and greek yoghurt ice cream. We also ordered something with fish but as I don´t eat, I don't remember. The food was delicious, you could really taste the ingredients and flavours. Portions were good to share, we ordered more than one for some options and we couldn't finish everything. They also brought us some bread and olive oil. It was amazing. We had orange wine, super pleasant on the nose and palate. The desserts were the best we had in Nice (we had desserts in every meal for 3 days), and having those three was a great balance: the brownie is like a huge flat coulant, so when you take a piece, chocolate runs from the middle, the ice cream was so fresh and creamy, with the proper greek yoghurt taste, and the pistacchio millefeuille neutralised the other two perfectly. I don't eat pistacchio and decided to try. it was faboulous! Service was great, everyone smiling and patient, they brought everything really quick, except for the coffee, I don´t know why. It's beautifully decorated, even in the toilets. Great spot if you're in CAP 3000, or if you want to experience some plate crushing (we missed that but...
