We had a wonderful family meal at Café de la Table Ronde in Grenoble – there were six of us, including two young children, and the whole experience was a delight from start to finish.

The service stood out as especially warm, attentive and helpful, without ever feeling overbearing. The staff were kind and patient with the children, and we really appreciated the thoughtful kids' menu, which included some great options beyond the usual basics.

I had the St Jacques (scallops) served on ravioli with saffron sauce and roasted vegetables—a truly delicious dish. The ravioli, which I understand is a regional specialty, was absolutely top-notch. My daughter had the children’s version with a creamy cheese sauce, and it was just as tasty.

For dessert, I chose the Blueberry Iced Vacherin, another local specialty. It was a beautiful combination of blueberry sorbet, meringue, Chantilly cream and almonds—light, sweet, and totally satisfying.

The restaurant specializes in traditional French cuisine, with a focus on local Alpine dishes, giving you a true taste of the region such as Gratin Dauphinois or Ravioles du Royans. Despite the restaurant's busyness, we managed to secure a table quite promptly, even without a reservation. The service was attentive and helpful, making the dining experience enjoyable. I can't speak highly enough about the food. The quality of each dish was truly exceptional. We followed recommendations and tried both the dish of the day, lamb, and their regular offering, callette. Both were truly outstanding. We also indulged in the charcuterie board, salmon tartare, and foie gras.
