I love this place but unfortunately my last visit was short-lived and disappointing, we were 6 people trying to find an outdoor table (the outdoor heated area not the wooden benches outside). So we tried to put 2 tables together in order to make room for the 6 of us. The whole process was to move a table a few inches closer to another table and put the seats around them. As soon as we moved the table a waiter came up to us along with a bouncer and stopped us from moving the tables and told us we cannot do that and if we wanna sit, we could sit inside or at the wooden benches outside (while it was really cold that night). I explained to him the whole rationale, and it's that we want to smoke while having a drink and it's too cold to sit outside on the wooden benches and surely smoking indoors is illegal. He was really rude and proceeded to put the tables back in their original position and did not offer any other alternative. Read moreWhen visiting Grenoble, at night O'Callaghan is the Best place to go for a beer and to mingle, they serve a collection of beers, and other spirits, but the atmosphere there is amazing, if you just look at the people, some cheering, some laughing, some jumping around, and some talking loudly, you will enjoy your time there... The place is large, fits a lot of people, I went in December, so even in the cold, at -4 some sit outside, some in the tent with heating and some inside. I sat in all three, and met new friends... I had lots of fun and the staff are so friendly... When tangerine are in season, they keep a basket at the bar full of it, it's free to eat it... Hehe O'Callaghan is my favorite pub......
