Update: same slow service, as if they are doing business in a remote village, not a busy station. The prices are for the big city.
If you are in a hurry, you are going to be quicker to cross the square and get into one of the shops outside the station, than in here.
The food and coffee are great, the Starbucks standard.
The prices are inflated: the coffee capsules are more than 1 Euro more expensive than in supermarket, even if it is their shop. And it's not like I have a coffee machine in my bag for my train ride.
Which leads to the main issue: the service. The people are nice, alright, and that would be clearly a three star rating for some sleeper side of town. Only this is the rail station. On both my visits there were two employees, one serving the queue, and the other doing other stuff in the back.
On the first visit there was one employee serving, and a second employee coming and going with a mop in hand. They weren't moping, just moving around. For the whole 10 minutes I was in the shop. One train has left the station, and I was still waiting for my order.
On the second visit it was even better. One employee was slowly working. And the other one was ordering cake slices in the fridge. At one point the guy explained to me that his colleague will take care of me as soon as she is done serving the other orders. During my order the guy was teaching the poor woman how to handle things, and how to use the cash machine, it did not help with the waiting time. It certainly felt like the guy was hindering the acvitity of the sole working employee. Behind me there was a queue, one that was getting longer and the guy repeated the friendly advice: my colleague will take your order soon. And there are two cash machines, both online. During my wait TWO trains have left the station....
