We stumbled across So Dream whilst walking past in the morning and being caught by the beautiful smells coming from the kitchen during what must have been prep for lunch.
We made a note and decided to return for lunch. What a great decision this turned out to be. Sonia was incredibly welcoming and helped us through the menu translating as we went.
The food, I was genuinely blown away by. Each dish was not only beautifully plated but the flavours were harmonious through each dish. Fresh ingredients, lots of flavour but no one overpowered the dish.
Unexpected elements (like popcorn) were used but where I expected a gimmick these were beautifully complementary to the flavours. Huge complements to Herve the Chef, I can only hope to eat his wonderful food again!

The server was so helpful since we had some translation issues. The initial amuse bouche set the expectations high, green bean mousse with a bit of pork rib. And the rest of the meal did not disappoint. My spouse had all the menu of the day specials; the raw fish appetizer, the monkfish and the nougat glacé. I opted for the mushroom entree which was spectacular. I also had the monkfish but I finished off with the Paris brest. The monkfish was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful sauce. Avec pour ma part 1h30 d’attente pour les plats, il est malvenu de donner un amuse bouche dès que l’on arrive car on a littéralement plus faim pour le plat et je ne parle pas du dessert, je me pose donc la question de pourquoi servir autant couvert quand on est conscient que certain vont beaucoup attendre. En outre, c’est peut être un ressenti purement personnel et lié à la clientèle qui se trouvait dans le restaurant ce soir là mais le bruit est franchement pénible, on peine à s’entendre et à la limite du mal-être auditif ( j’écoute de la techno à fond donc il faut y aller pour titiller mes oreilles). Et pour finir, bien que très gentille, la serveuse s’est révélé un peu lourde quand on lui signale que l’on annule les desserts et que l’on hésite même à prendre le plat, celle- ci vient s’excuser à 4 reprises; ainsi je souligne sa gentillesse de proposer un geste commerciale pour l’attente, mais la répétion d’excuses à intervalle espacé m’a franchement mis mal à l’aise.
