Le Romain d'Etretat — Restaurant in Le Havre

We arrived at the restaurant just five minutes before it opened at 7 PM and we were lucky to be among the first to get a table. Since the place is closed between 2 and 7 PM, a large crowd gathers right before it opens which creates a pretty long line.

The service was great and the food came out surprisingly fast. The pizza was average — not the best we’ve had, but not bad either. But the pesto pasta… absolutely unforgettable. I don’t even like pasta and never order it in everyday life, but this was hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had.

As for dessert we tried the chocolate fondant — one of my all-time favorite desserts that I’ve had in many places around the world — and this one was honestly the best of all. The white cream it was served in added such a unique and delicious touch.

Highly recommend coming early to avoid the wait and definitely try the pesto pasta...

Careful when making a reservation here. We had booked for 19.15, and arrived at 19.22 pm. Only to find out they had already given our table away because we were ‘late’. By 7 minutes…

In my opinion, you should wait 15 mins before giving away a reserved table. I understand that if people don’t show up, you put walk-in guests there. But 7 minutes? Come on…

The staff was rude about this, and we had to wait for 50 mins before finally being seated. They did not offer us a drink on the house or anything to compensate for the inconvenience.

I recommend for this restaurant to improve their reservation policy.

Food was ok....

We came to dinner this restaurant open in 7 pm so we came at 6:30 pm so we waiting about 30 minutes after we came here . It’s very big so people who don’t have a seat but we came second so it’s okay they give us manual prices are okay nice prices not too expensive. We order two pizza and one child menu and one pasta. It’s not bad but it’s so so and pizza was really really bad not really really good but it’s service are nice but they bring us a cup of Parmesan worth. It’s like 2 g of Parmesan cheese and we ask them to bring us more and then bring us a little bit more, it’s okay but it’s too maybe next time bring...
