New Delhi — Restaurant in Le Havre

Food is ok.during the payment, they did not give us the bill, but just told us the amount to be paid.when we requested for the price breakup, we realised they tried to charge us 2eur extra for something they implied was a part of the meal before.When we pointed it out, the owner got very racist and agressive.He asked me and my friend where we were from, and began to say that non Europeans, Indians, are stingy with their money and if I was french, I would not have questioned him about the over charge.I was quite shaken to be given such discriminatory treatment from someone who is also has indian roots.The owner's son seemed to be quite ashamed of his roots as well, he made it a point to inform us that he has he has never been to India, and grew up in the USA and london. After checking a lot of fake reviews of all Indian restaurants in the neighbourhood, we decided to come here - but this was also disappointing.

The food is pathetic, like really really bad. Only the place is clean and waiter is friendly- but you would pray as soon you eat that you don’t fall sick. luckily we all were fine.

Naan - never had such naan, the dough is not of naan - tolerable but weird Dal makhani was a yellow dal mixed with red pasta sauce Paneer tikka masala had 1 piece of paneer (not even baked) and really bad gravy All Lassi was water and milk, not thick flavourful yogurt lassi. Samosa was not Indian samosa, its rice paper one.

Maybe it’s for locals, but Indians...

Les points positifs : -La nourriture a bon goût. -L'ambiance est agréable. -Beaucoup d'options sur le menu. -Serveur sympathique mais il n'y a qu'une seule personne qui fait tout le travail. (téléphone, servir la nourriture, prendre les commandes et préparer les tables).

Les points négatifs :

-Le rapport portion/prix est horrible. Quand je vais dans un restaurant et que je paie 12 euros pour un plat. Il devrait être plus qu'un petit bol avec 5 petits morceaux de poulet ou de viande et un peu de sauce ! Juste ça, rien d'autre...

-Il faut aussi payer environ 3,5 ou 5 euros pour une petite assiette de riz. C'est hilarant de voir que nous avons demandé l'option riz safrané et qu'il est arrivé avec un morceau de safrané peut-être...

-Un autre problème est le temps d'attente. Notre nourriture a mis 1 heure à arriver. L'apéritif a pris environ 20 minutes, puis nous avons attendu environ 40 minutes pour avoir notre nourriture... Ce n'était même pas si occupé. Juste 3 autres tables à côté de nous. Deux couples. Un couple et deux enfants qui mangeaient déjà.

-Comme je l'ai dit, un seul pauvre serveur pour tout faire. Deux fois pendant qu'il prenait notre commande, il s'est arrêté pour aller répondre au téléphone, ce que j'ai trouvé impoli. Et j'ai dû demander de l'eau plusieurs fois avant de l'obtenir. Je ne lui en veux pas. Il fait tout seul. Le restaurant en prend la responsabilité.

Résumé : c'est bien d'essayer une fois pour les saveurs, mais n'y allez pas si vous avez très faim ou si cela ne vous dérange pas de dépenser plus de 50 euros (1 entrée, 2 assiettes, 2 riz, 2 boissons) pour deux...
