Courtepaille — Restaurant in Le Raincy

Wanted to give this more, however too many issues so only really deserves 2 stars.

We used this restaurant as the Novotel we were staying in did not have it’s restaurant open.

It started well. The kids meals were good value and large portions for Children. My wife had her meal too, however mine did not turn up. The chef realized that they had only cooked three meals, after some degree of looking at the till, the manager came and said my meal wouldn’t be long. It was then clearly cooked too quickly as the food was cold in the middle. Took it back and it was then cooked correctly.

After this we did not see any staff for a long time and they were clearly stretched.

When ready to pay I got fed up waiting to pay, so went to the front desk to pay. They had then added to extra drinks to the bill which they eventually removed.

Overall the food we had was good, but just rubbish service.

I really feel Accor Hotels should improve this as they have the guests of two hotels using this restaurant with many poor reviews. They probably don’t do much as there is limited...

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. When ordering, I clearly asked for a steak, preferably an entrecôte or T-bone. The waiter confirmed my order in English, but when the dish arrived, I was served minced meat, essentially a burger patty, presented as “steak.”

When I pointed out that I had ordered a steak, the waiter insisted that in French, “steak” means ground beef, and that if I wanted an entrecôte, I should have ordered “entrecôte” specifically. This felt misleading, as I had been very clear about wanting a proper cut of beef.

I refused the dish, as it was not what I had ordered. The only fair part of the experience was that, when I asked whether I was supposed to pay for something I never ordered, the waiter told me I could leave without paying. However, this was said in a rather rude manner (“you can go”).

Now I understand why this place has so many poor reviews. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of a language misunderstanding, and the overall attitude was unprofessional. I cannot recommend...

My recent visit to this restaurant left much to be desired. Here's my honest review:

🍽️ The quality of the food was disappointing, to say the least. It did not meet my expectations, and I found it to be below average.

💰 Considering the subpar quality of the food, the prices were unreasonably high. I felt that I paid a premium for a meal that did not justify the cost.

🌙 I ended up dining here out of necessity, as it was late, and I had limited options available.

In conclusion, I wouldn't choose to dine at this restaurant again. The poor quality of the food and the high prices make it an unattractive choice for anyone seeking a satisfying...
