Petit JaJa — Restaurant in Lille

It’s one of the busiest weekends of the year in Lille and I had trouble finding somewhere to eat as a solo traveller with allergies. To manage the crowds restaurants have set menus and lots of options for sharing. I tried a few places before finding Petit Jaja. They had a cool wine bar atmosphere and it was relaxed, even though they were so busy. The staff organised a special half sized portion for me and it was really great! When we got told the main bar/restaurant was busy we crossed the road and ventured in. Lovely little bar with small food menu, good atmosphere as well. The place was let down by a lack of staff and everything took a very long time to happen. Absolutely the best ‘Welcome to Lille” that we could’ve asked for. Manager, Jermaine was extremely warm and hospitable, his suggestions were exact, and the food and wine were enough to melt you into your seat.
