La Fourchette — Restaurant in Loches

Located just off of the main strip of Amboise, La Fourchette is tucked away at the end of a quote side street. The homey and inviting demeanor made me feel at easy right away. The Beatles playing softly in the back ground probably helped as well.I am also so impressed that these was all done by a very pleasant 3 person operation!

We started with the charcuterie, then moved onto the risotto with seasonal vegetables, mozzarella, and balsamic. Then had a zucchini dish and a beautiful peach salad with a whipped cheese base which was excellent. We finished off with a brownie which was pretty good.

Looking at other reviews, it appears that their menu changes frequently, I will most certainly be going here if I end up in...

Amazing food and so incredibly welcoming. Our favorite meal in France. We felt like we were dinner guests in their home. Great wine recommendations. The chef was on full display intently crafting dishes. At the end we asked to take a dessert to go. They were out of take out containers, so she put plastic wrap over the chocolate cake with cream sauce in one of their dinner bowls and told us she'd pick the bowl up later from the hotel we're staying at.
