BEN's Bowl — Restaurant in Lyon

I got to know this place from a Taiwanese friend (who heard about it from her Taiwanese friends) in Germany. The recommendation is fully justified, so much so that I came for lunch AND dinner on a single day - in Lyon no less, where there are so many excellent bouchons (so that tells you how much I enjoyed my meal there). I ordered a braised meat rice 滷肉飯 for lunch, and a beef brisket rice 牛腩飯 with a side of salted crispy chicken 鹽酥雞 for dinner. They were marvellous and very homely. 👌🏼 The atmosphere was great too - it was full-house during lunchtime, so I specially came early for my dinner. It was really nice to chat with the wonderfully friendly staff (sorry, I forgot to get your names!), who also kindly shared tips on what to do and eat in Lyon. The place has two floors, there have many tables in the upstairs, so don't worry if you see the ground floor is full. The owner is from Taiwan, so she really makes the flavor like in Taiwan. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We ordered two menu with drinks and something else, there were Taiwanese beef noodle soup, Taiwanese braised beef with rice, wonton soup, Taiwanese fried chicken and Strawberry Chiffon Cake with Cream. Braised pork rice, three-cup chicken rice, beef brisket rice, beef brisket noodles, and bubble milk tea are my favorites, as well as the salted crispy chicken. You must order cheesecake as an after-dinner dessert. The staffs are very nice and the restaurant is clean with a nice atmosphere. We came to Lyon this time for a family trip. We are still fascinated by the foods in this restaurant to this day. This restaurant is located in an alley, so you may need to use Google Maps to find it. This is a good restaurant worth you visiting again....
