We ordered the set menu but received soups for our main dishes. The server did not bother to even offer recommendations or tell us these were soups. It did not say so on the menu. We asked her if we can order something else and she refused! What kind of service is this? The food we received was not good, lacking flavor although the presentation looked nice. For the amount of money we spent here what we received was not worth it. We had really been looking forward to try this place and sadly it was a disappointment on our last day in Lyon.

In reply to the restaurant's response, I'd like to be more clear so you can hopefully improve your food and service. We can upgrade the overall rating to 2 stars but the food is mediocre and the service is sub par. As I mentioned, the food itself is not very flavorful. For a restaurant specializing in duck, you may want to reconsider serving the soup as a main as there was barely any duck in it. As for the other dish, it was essentially 2 slices of toast with a little duck in it and a dip. We were surprised that half the sandwich was missing duck completely. The duck itself was dry and hard to chew. You may want to review the quality and consistency of your dishes. No one is trying to sabotage you but it is this kind of arrogance that turns a great restaurant into a subpar restaurant. And on top of that, blaming the customer for not having excellent knowledge of French cuisine is a sure fire way to go out of business. Would you blame elderly customers who are not tech savvy and say its their fault for not researching what the dish is? If your restaurant relies at all on the business of tourists, then you would do well to make educating your customers a strength rather than a weakness.
