Carnet Gourmand — Restaurant in Lyon

The food was great but I've got the worst experience with the service. This is the first time that I eat in a restaurant and there is the staff who come to get us out. My friends and I were there at 7PM. We had the reservation for 7, but one of my friend were late, about 7:30 they say if we want to keep the seat of this friend we have to order one more dish for her. At this point we were happy because it's ridiculous but we ordered anyway. The dished came slowly and seperately between mine and out friend's. (abot 30min apart). At 8:30PM there was the staff who came saying hey you need to finish your dishes (which is served about 15min before that) soon because we have customers waiting and hand us the bill. In fact I dont care. if they dont have enough place, dont take too many reserves... Why kick out your own guests who is having there meals? As we were leaving, another staff came asking us about the unfinished dish "You finish it? Can I take it away?" I said "No! we dont even have time to eat! but yes take it away as you wish" She smiles nicely and wipe all things out for others people who...

Hey @Naty Quach, I read your review when I was recommending this restaurant to my friends today. As a customer who has been dinning here for more than 2 years, I have to speak up for the restaurant. You are lucky that u can book a table for 7, as u might not know, it’s almost fully booked every night. I always go there for the second session which is from 9pm to 10:45pm, and I think the staff there has made it clear when u were booking that your session starts at 7pm and finishes at 8:45. If your friend was not late, u would have enough time to even order and finish a lovely desert. But I’m sorry, rules are rules, you can’t make another 7 people who are punctual but waiting outside until your friend finishes eating. Hope you can understand that the rule ensures every customer is treated equally and fairly, you should blame ur friend for that hahahaha.

Anyway, I really like this restaurant, yummy dishes, clean environment and pretty waitress ☺️ Services are decent as well. I’ll take some photos next time to share with u guys,...

So I’m here for visit and i was living in south,and in south we don’t have a good Chinese restaurant to be honest on the place where I live,so I heard about this restaurant from my friend and they told me it’s really good,and as a Chinese who lived in China for 20 years I must say he’s right,it’s the best Chinese restaurant in Lyon for me,they have the food from Sichuan and north of China,if you like spicy it’s a good choice but they can also make food without spicy like you want,the calamar here is soooooooo delicious make me think about my hometown,and the waitress here are really nice and kind even when they are very busy but they take care of everyone,I’m really happy to eat here and had really happy time!!Will come back here when I go to...
