Ok. Not one to write reviews but the food was incredibly salty. I ordered the œufs meurette, rognons de veau, et un dessert du moment which was basically chocolate pudding... I legit worried for my HEALTH with the saltiness of every bite and I’m a 26 year old with no medical conditions. I’ve eaten at great to lack luster bouchons and this one is not only the most expensive but also the worst I’ve experienced. I don’t know if the chef was just having a bad day or something, as well as the staff. My friend asked for a box to take away and one of the waitresses made a huge stink about it. Super awkward. I'm grateful to encounter this restaurant. It's a historic bouchon, but it's not just the atmosphere that's great. The food is simply amazing. I don't want to tell anyone, but if you want to experience the true essence of Lyon cuisine, this is the place to go. The ingredients are very fresh and carefully prepared, creating a taste that can only be achieved through homemade cooking. In the heart of Lyon, this is one of the most famous bouchon. Here for decades, the decor is authentic and the place cute. The menu changes often, with choices of set menu or a la carte. A la carte products are quite expensive and the set menu, with traditionnal Lyon food is more affordable. Service is kind and more than willing to help and explain.
