I had high hopes for this cafe as it is not so easy to get good speciality coffee in Lyon. The coffee was okay, nothing amazing, and the temperature was lukewarm at best because the milk was not heated sufficiently. I pulled out my iPad to respond to a single urgent email, only to be immediately told off by the barista as it’s a “no laptop” cafe downstairs, and you would have to go upstairs if you want to work. This despite the fact that there was a guy (I’m guessing he was a student) sitting downstairs right in front of me with a huge pile of papers and books that he was working on, I kind of didn’t get the distinction between the two. So ok, I responded to the urgent email on my phone which took me a couple of minutes and I was able to go back to reading my book. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things I know, but it felt not...

Discover a hidden gem in Lyon's 1st arrondissement! This vibrant coffeeshop is the perfect blend of relaxed vibes and energetic ambiance. The friendly staff and amazing coffee set the stage for an unforgettable visit. It's a hotspot for remote workers, with a laptop-friendly setup that's hard to beat. We kicked off our day with an incredible breakfast, featuring fluffy scrambled eggs and a refreshing yogurt bowl topped with fresh fruits. If you're looking for a lively yet cozy spot to enjoy top-notch coffee and delicious bites, this place is...

Really enjoyed our brunch here, although they do seem to get quite busy so reservations are advisable so as not to be disappointed. The service was great, and they offered good meal combo options at very reasonable prices. Although their menu is only small, there was still a lovely option of dishes, hard to narrow it down as everything sounded delicious! All in all, a lovely spot! Side note though, toilets were only accessible via a spiral staircase, so not ideal for anyone with...
