Ikône - Bar à Chocolat & EveryDay Brunch — Restaurant in Lyon

A nice concept and refreshing change from many of the usual places that sell waffles and hot chocolate. Unlike a majority of places that utilize powdered chocolate for their offerings, this location has proper molten chocolate, several choices in fact, to choose from. Along with the hot chocolate offerings, you will find a selection of tea and coffee as well. The coffee I found to be subpar beans, but the tea was nice. The waffles are made to order and you have the choice of topping to put on it, whether it be the various choices of molten chocolate, Nutella, and whipped creme. I found the waffle to have more flavor than other places I have tried, not full-flavored like waffles that use buttermilk or many of the Belgian varieties, but good nevertheless. The location is on a heavily trafficked street and the seating space is limited so expect a wait during peak times. This is an ideal place...

Worst hot chocolate of my life. I asked for the darkest type and I was served cold milk with a hint of chocolate. When I asked if my order was correct, they replied that it was correct, they just put more milk. I asked to change it also because it was cold, and they brought back the same but warmer. Maybe the food can be good but I didn't have it, but it's not worth for a hot chocolate, that was also quite expensive (4,50€)...

Nice staff, we had fun and they sure have some humor. Food was perfect, not too much and we got out full and feeling nice. My main topic would be the hot chocolate. It is the only place where they're respectful with cocoa. It was nice, smooth and finally they only added enough sugar so it was perfect.

I only with they could do other hot chocolates like with peanut butter, or hazelnut purée and spices inside, stuff like...
