L Bar food & drink — Restaurant in Lyon

Two stars because this review is heavily indexed on the drinks and food, which weren't gold in my opinion. The service and atmosphere were fine.

We came here for cocktails after a quick search on Google Maps. We were quite disappointed. There's no cocktail menu, you simply tell the bar tender whether you want something sweet or sour. Being a cocktail enthusiast, I was quite excited by the prospect of experiencing genuine cocktail craft, especially after the bar tender boasted about his 15 years of experience as a cocktail maker. Unfortunately the cocktails were very common and flat. At least compared to what I know from real cocktail bars.

The "tapas plate (20 pieces)" was frozen junk food, worth a fast food.

I came here to try and experience the local LGBTQIA+ community during a visit from the UK, as I really wanted to connect with my community. The bartender served multiple people before me and ignored me. Despite a pint being advertised as €5 I was charged €6. I cannot speak much French, but I understand it very well due to having French family. I could hear the bartender joking about me and talking about overcharging me on purpose.
