La Virée Bistrot — Restaurant in Lyon

A wonderful dining experience with a creative sharing concept that allowed our family of five to taste every course. The unanimous highlight was the watermelon with smoked sheep ricotta – a fantastic dish with a bold, surprising combination.

Personally, I found it a little bit of a pity that out of all the courses only one was served warm, while the rest were cold dishes.

Our vegetarian daughter was also very well catered for, which is not always easy to find in Lyon.

The vibe is relaxed and modern, thanks to a professional yet easygoing service team that makes you feel right at home. The selection of wines by the glass is also excellent, and pricing is absolutely fair for the quality and creativity on offer. À quand la possibilité de mettre 10 étoiles sur Google ? Et encore, ce ne serait même pas assez pour décrire la pépite qu’est La Virée. Une claque culinaire, du travail dans les assiettes sans dénaturer un seul des aliments, tout est à sa place comme il faut. Comme une explosion de saveur et de passion qu’on ressent à chaque bouchée. Au delà de la qualité des assiettes, les verres de vin étaient excellents également, et l’équipe hyper chaleureuse. Bref un sans faute ! J’ai profité de cet instant seule, mais j’y reviendrai très régulièrement avec tous mes proches, car tout le monde doit découvrir cet endroit au moins une fois dans sa vie !
