Few days after having dinner I scratched my head to define @barcandier and I just found the best way to describe it : it’s just a Swiss army knife !

Want to hang out with your fellas and cheers with some beers, here is the Barcandier ! Feel like have a glass of wine with a friend sharing some plates, here is the Barcandier ! Or keen to indulge yourself and your friend, partner or whoever for a gastronomic dinner, guess what here again, the Barcandier ! It’d sound suspicious to tell this tiny place is Having everything and even if they do would it work? Yes it does ! I believe the team would run it knows exactly what they are doing to offer complete and satisfying experience to customers. Doesn’t matter if you are here to get few beers down or treat your taste buds with some nicely imagined plates !

If I must be picky I would point out the fact that the dining room can be a bit noisy, due to the low ceiling but it’s quickly forgiven 😉

This place has it all: a wide selection of craft a beers on tap and dozens more in cans for beer lovers; excellent natural/bio wine from the region for oenophiles, beautifully made small plates that don’t break the bank (try the terrine and the patate douce!), a great ambiance and decor in an up and coming neighborhood. It’s a dynamic spot: the downstairs bar has a convivial atmosphere with good music that allows for conversation, while the upstairs provides a quiet escape to catch up with a friend or go on a date. I was only in Lyon for three nights and ended up going to Barcandier every single night I was in town. I truly can’t say enough about this place, don’t miss it! I’m really looking forward to going back on...

Nous sommes venus plusieurs fois dans la salle du bas pour une bière et des assiettes à partager que nous avons beaucoup appréciés.

Nous avons pu tester cette fois-ci leur restaurant à l’étage. Mais quelle découverte 😍 La salle est petite et intimiste (maximum 20 couverts), le menu est adapté pour les végétariens comme pour les carnivores et les plats sont aussi beaux que bons (délicieux, même !). Nous avons adoré notre expérience au Barcandier ! Nous remercions chaleureusement les personnes en cuisine ainsi que Léa, au service, qui a su rendre ce moment...
