Saba Café Bellecour (NEWTREE Café) — Restaurant in Lyon

The Good— A very eco-friendly and comfortable café. Everything is well laid out with a nice open feel. A majority, if not everything, is homemade, or produced specifically for/by them. Lovely selection of chocolates, many with samples available. Excellent chocolate chip cookie and a nice latte. The also serve healthy food options for lunch or perhaps takeaway for your dinner.

Not So Good — The healthy lifestyle trend may not appeal to some due to the difference in taste some of the options provide. Be sure to ask for a sample of the chocolate chaud before purchasing.

Verdict — If you are looking for comfortable, eco/vegan/vegetarian friendly café, this is your place. The location is very bright, airy, and quite comfortable. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming and ready to assist you with any questions you may have about their offerings. Horrible!!! Worst breakfast ever! Expensive, bad taste and bad service! Never again

To be more precise: it was too expensive for what we got Two bad toast with a small amount of butter and marmelade and a granola bowl which tasted as they were using very old nuts and chocolat there was no service at all: everything had to be done by ourselfes: preparing the bowl, self service at the bar etc. bad hygienic circumstances: bread was touched with the same hands they touched the money. No gloves used. For the creation of the bowl I had to touch all the spoons which where used by all the clients before me. Felt a bit bad afterwards knowing that Corona cases are still in France...

We payed 19€ for the “ formule petit dejeuner” and were really disappointed... overall because rating was so high...

Not happy at all with the service, but it may be that we weren't lucky; food is good. We came here for breakfast as the other comments were really positive, but we didn't have a good experience. The lady saw us and made us wait for a long time, while dish washing. She could have said something nice to make us wait, but nope. We still waited but at some point we thought about leaving. There's no service but still the prices are high, the food is good but for the price I would have expected something better. I don't want to say that it is not a good place - it wouldn't be the truth. But from our experience here, I would have enjoyed the place more with better customer service at the desk.
