Very disappointing food and very slow service😢 We booked a lunch for a group of 13; everyone submitted their order ahead of time. The offerings sounded delicious but sadly when the entrees and plates arrived they were quite a disappointment. "Saumon gravlax et son crémeux courgette menthe" arrived with large chunks of deep red salmon drowning in a "pesto rosso" which was also served with the other entree of burratta; it was not an appetizing site and the tomato pesto was an appetizing addition. "Filet de dorade royale et son crumble de fruits secs" arrived lukewarm served with some mysterious sweet sauce and a sweet dessert style crumble, also not appetizing. The crumble reappeared atop the dessert "tarte tarin caramélisée" which consisted of some strangely pink colored cooked apples set on top of what appeared to be a cooky; the only sign on "caramélisée" was a squiggle of caramel sauce, such an insult to the wonderful French tarte tatin. We understand that restaurants are having great difficulty finding staff and that can account for slow or unprofessional service but here in Lyon we still expect a certain standard for the food served. Went here for a drink with my wife, my first Heinekin was brilliant. No cocktails however as they had no ice. The second beer waitress brought in a Heineken glass but it was a very citrus beer of some description. I kindly asked her to check it was Heineken. She brought another fresh beer which was exactly the same. Rather than make a fuss I kindly went up to pay the bill. As I was paying she asked if the second beer was better. I told her I’d had only one sip and that it also wasn’t Heineken and that they mush have connected the wrong keg. She assured me I was wrong so I asked whether the bar tender had tasted it, she replied no and in a very snooty tone of voice told me it’s heinekin and shrugged her shoulders. Certainly not the type of service I’d have thought was typical for this area. Une de mes pires expériences !! Nous sommes allés manger dans ce restaurant avec des amis, et nous avons eu une des pires expériences de notre vie. Rien n'a été. Du début à la fin. Plus de mojito ni de spritz à 20h du soir, en pleine place Bellecour, un des quartiers les plus touristiques de la ville, on commence déjà mal la soirée ! Nous prenons donc un cocktail de substitution qui s'avère pas fameux du tout, servi dans un verre en plastique. Une planche mixte à 16€ avec du fromage qui n'a aucun goût, et des tranches de salami provenant du supermarché d'en face. Les tartares soit disant préparés qui ne le sont pas du tout, pas d'oignons, pas de câpres et je pense à peine 100gr de viande dans l'assiette. Des frites bien sûr surgelées et sèches. Un tartare de saumon n'ayant goût que de sel, de couleur marron et je pense un tartare d'environ 50gr dans l'assiette. Je vous passerez les détails des desserts compris dans leur menu avec une gaufre qui avait la même texture qu'un parpaing (du jamais vu). Ayant remarqué notre insatisfaction et surtout voyant que personne n'avait terminé son plat, les serveurs nous propose gentiment un digestif. Un rhum arrangé "maison" qui s'avère être en fait juste un verre de rhum brun avec une tanche de citron vert 😅 Bref il vaut mieux en rire, au risque de se mettre à pleurer, mais surtout ne jamais retourner dans ce café "français" qui soit disant passant dénigre la gastronomie française aux yeux de tous les touristes qui pourront s'y rendre !
