Siprès restaurant — Restaurant in Lyon

Overall, the food was good, but honestly nothing to rave about. The menu was an odd combination of ingredients and too many flavors that didn’t go well together. Portions are very small for starter and cheese plate.

Restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating, but after 8:30 the restaurant got very busy and chaos started. Service became very slow and the staff were overwhelmed with managing tables. I had to specifically flag the wait staff for my wine which i ordered with my main course, but forgot to bring it 1/2 way through my meal.

I had to skip the final dessert since i sat and waited 25 minutes after finishing a tiny cheese plate with 2 small cuts of cheeses as the kitchen was overwhelmed with many orders. By then, i lost my appetite for dessert and asked for check. It wasn’t a great experience for me.

If you strive for perfection and you want to keep your status as a premium restaurant with high prices, i suggest adding some more staff to manage the proper service people deserve. It felt very disorganized and the restaurant wasn't well prepared for the night.

Overall, i think it was decent, but not a gastronomical experience or worthy of Michelin mention...

Went here on a tuesday lunch, not very busy but some things weren’t right.

To start we sit outside and near the terrace theres some wooden planks that were full of bird feces, and because of that also full of small bugs and mosquitoes, while the food is 50cm away from the same plank. Also the water glass is placed on the table with the rim down, on a terrace, thing that is very unhygienic.

The food was very good and i give congrats to the chefs, but the chinaware used to plate is in poor state, 2 out of 3 plates were broken in visible places.

The staff is very friendly but could use a uniform for a restaurant thats in a Michelin guide.

Overall experience its good , the food deserves the Michelin guide,...

Nous avons testé et découvert Siprès grâce à sa renommée auprès des Bibs !

Nous avons apprécié la cuisine qui y était raffinée, ainsi que les desserts très intéressants, nous nous sommes laissés surprendre, bien que nous ne soyons pas les plus grands fans de cuisine sucrée !

Un point à souligner, la présence de vin au format « pot » dans ce type de restaurant, c’est très rare, mais c’est très agréable. Cela accorde de la souplesse au client !

En revanche, nous avons quelques reproches concernant le service : Nous avions précisé lors de notre réservation, ne pas aimer la coriandre. Malheureusement nous avons commandé un plat dans lequel se trouvait de la coriandre sans même avoir été prévenu. Conséquence, le plat n’a pas été terminé. C’est dommage, d’autant plus que nous avions précisé ce point lors de la réservation, et que la coriandre est un aliment très clivant.

Les deux points qui viennent sont du détail, mais nous tenons à souligner que :

malheureusement les plats sont présentés beaucoup trop rapidement, ce qui complique la compréhension de ce que l’on a dans l’assiette.

deux des entrées (sur 4), sont tournées autour de la tomate comme aliment principal, ce qui est dommage à pour effet de réduire le choix de produits… d’autant plus qu’en été les produits ne manquent pas !

Mis à part cela, nous avons passés un bon moment et les points ci-dessus se vouent à être constructifs pour le restaurant. Bonne...
