WOKO asian street food — Restaurant in Lyon

Used to go there on my lunch breaks, will never go back again. I usually don’t write reviews, but this is review worthy.

Upon coming in I was informed immediately that they can only serve me to go. As I came to order at the tablet, half of the menu items were not available. Fine. I pick a menu and ask how can I order a whipped cream drink. They inform me that it is not a part of the menu. I tell them that I do not mind paying extra, but the girl assured me that in no way is that possible. Already a weird decision on owners behalf, as I was forced to order separately and paid less as I got rid of the entrée. Fine.

As my food was made I asked for a bag so I can carry it easily. Again: no can do, apparently I didn’t order enough to deserve a bag? Even with paying.

With the employees with an attitude who are not even trying to be helpful, the place is losing a lot of customers and money. Every lunch for me was about 25€, I would much rather take my money somewhere else now. Shame because I really used to like the place.

Edit: after carrying all the food back to work I come to find that the drink which was supposed to be milk-caramel-whipped cream has zero caramel in there and is just plain tea with milk. It is not even sweet....

Highly disappointed, came here after craving pho for a week and what I ate was NOT pho.

the soup is not pho soup at all. this was a different dish entirely, basically mild sour soup and that was it. you need proper beef broth and spices, coriander, etc. and all of that was missing

noodles cooked al dente, which you will never see in asian cooking. this is rice noodle, not pasta, cook it longer please

beef is meant to be cooked in the soup, not separately. the beef tasted incredibly bland with none of the soup flavours.

edit: for you folks who don't know how bad it is, it is similar to pouring canned mushroom soup onto pasta and calling it spaghetti carbonara. Only tastes good to people who have never had proper pasta.

This will go down as one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The 2 people on the front desk had little to no idea of how to work in that environment and the that flowed through to the chefs. The wait times for myself and those around me was horrendous. I waited 47mins for a pad thai and many around me waited just as long, if not longer and would have been even longer if we weren't at the counter hassling them. At times our orders were not even on the counter. Was only when we pointed them out did they find them and print them out for the chefs. Something bad must have gone on with extra meals cooked as i saw at least 8 meals sit under the light for at least 30mins before being thrown out. This place needs massive help as people would surely not be...
