Yummy Pancakes — Restaurant in Lyon

Amazing food and atmosphere that collide with a big time to enter. We were in Lyon for the weekend and wanted to go for a Brunch while in town. The suggestions pointed us to Yummy Pancakes, so we went there. With -3°C outside, the waiting line was big enough for us to wait almost two hours. While we were waiting, we could see the tables inside. As we were a group of 4, we expected a harder time to come in. When we were next in line to enter, we saw the table in front of us with two customers on a table for four, with at least another one available only for two customers. The staff denied us to enter because they only had a new table for two. At first, they didn't accept our suggestion of changing these two customers to the table for two and us to the one they just sat on with four seats. They wanted the people behind us to enter instead of us - but after some noise, they politely asked the other customers, who were kind to change tables for us all to get in. Arrivé il y a deux jours, j’ai été positivement surpris par l’établissement. À mon arrivée, j’ai sollicité une table pour une personne ; j’ai alors été installé au niveau du comptoir. Malheureusement, le service a accusé un retard significatif, le serveur ayant admis m’avoir oublié. Pas très professionnel. La serveuse m'a remis la carte sans aucune interaction, recommandation ou autre forme d'échange client-serveur ; elle a simplement déposé la carte et s'est éloignée. Mauvais point de plus qu'au moment de mon arrivée il n'y avait pas foule. De plus les serveuse parle de leurs envie de faire pipi juste à côté du client et semble extrêmement pressé d'aller faire leurs pose cigarette.

Par la suite, j'ai subi une longue attente avant de pouvoir passer ma commande, malgré la présence du menu fermé.

À la réception de ma commande, la serveuse a exprimé un doute quant à son attribution. Elle m'a demandé si elle me la destinait. Comment pourrais-je le confirmer sans connaître la présentation de vos plats ?

Le brunch servi s'est révélé copieux et gourmand. Les pancakes étaient particulièrement réussis, savoureux et servis chauds. En revanche, le thé glacé vanille manquait de goût, tout comme le chocolat viennois, dont la saveur chocolatée était quasiment absente. La chantilly également présentait un manque de saveur.

Le bol de "fruité" présentait des imperfections notables. Le choix des fruits était inapproprié, le fromage blanc, légèrement acide et non adouci avec un sucrant associé à des myrtilles et une pomme verte, accentuait cette acidité, rendant la dégustation désagréable.

L'atmosphère était agréable, calme et peu fréquentée ; j'ai été surpris de constater qu'un chien était admis dans l'établissement.

Mis à part les quelques soucis, Je recommande vivement cet établissement, notamment pour ses pancakes exceptionnels. N'ayant pas testé les bowls gourmands, je ne peux me prononcer sur ceux-ci, mais je reviendrai sans hésiter pour déguster à nouveau les pancakes et vous invite à...

Nice restaurant in the city center with a lot of different types of puncakes. They are very tasty. The orange juice taste as commercial one and not fresh juice. Unfortunately one member of the staff was not so lovely. When we entered inside there was a free table but the waitress told us we had to wait outside despite it was very cold (1 °C) and rainy. Well, we waited for at least 15 minutes outside and many other tables in the meanwhile were free but she didn't clean anyone.
