If you are anything like me and you scroll to find the best pho places and not just for any review but a review that says this food tastes like home, look no further!! I grew up in a Lao home because my dad is Lao and I ate A LOT of Pho. When I tell you the moment the pho touched my tastebuds, my soul ascended the heavens. This reminds me of my Nana’s pho. It was so delicious!! I loved every bit and I will come back to it every time I come back to Marseille! My mother-in- law got it for me to-go so I didn’t get to eat inside but I remember I tried to one day and they were packed. Go early for lunch because you are not guaranteed a bowl at 15:10-16:00.

We had been back for several times during our stay in Marseille. Food was really really good. I’d say they were Vietnam’s level. Didn’t expect to have such an authentic quality of Asian food in Europe. We tried almost all of the menu - rice, noodles and baguette. All are very on spot. We have also tried the special drinks of lychee, pineapple and coconut. Very refreshing as well. Staffs were very friendly and nice. They remembered our diet restriction the second time we went back. They helped us to cut the baguette into 3 so it’d be easier for sharing. Their services were bringing the restaurant to the next level. We will definitely come back!

I had Beef Com Tam and it was absolutely delicious (and nicely packed for takeaway too). I love that they kept the fish sauce separate so I could adjust the saltiness level of my meal. The lovely Vietnamese lady who took my order was also friendly and spoke good English. Overall a positive experience and I’d definitely be back to try the other dishes on the menu. ☺️

Com Tam
