Brasserie Manhattan — Restaurant in Marseille

When we arrived, we were told only half of the menu was available until 8pm. Which was fine. This meant we could order appetizers and burgers only, but that was okay with us. We then waited another 15 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. When we got our drinks, we ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. They told us it would be about 10 minutes. Okay, fine. 20 minutes later, we asked our waiter what was going on. He said the kitchen was prepping for dinner service and would not be able to cook the mozzarella sticks for another 30 minutes. At this point, we would have left but we had drinks left so we waited. I asked for another drink (the same one I had before, a Rossini). They brought be a vodka and cranberry instead. After 40 minutes, we still did not have our mozzarella sticks. We asked about them and our waiter said they were coming out now, but we could not order any other food until 8pm. Another 15 minutes, still no mozzarella sticks. So we asked for our bill. That took 10 minutes. They brought the mozzarella sticks with our bill. 2 1/2 hours later and we finally got an appetizer. We left with no dinner. Thank goodness the manager came and told us we did not have to pay the bill. We will not go...

We arrived on a Sunday at midday and it was already quite full (lots of rugby fans like us). We were shown to a table and the servers were super friendly, attentive and helpful. We ordered two pints of Budweiser beer and they were really cold just how we like our lager. We then shared a starter panisses (chick pea) which was really delicious. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers and were asked how we wanted our burgers cooked (always a good sign). This came with fries which were cooked to perfection and lots of them with a side salad and gherkin. We also had a small pot of mustard mayo, mayo and tomatoe ketchup. The burger was delicious and one of the nicest I have had in a long time. We couldn't eat dessert as we were so full. A really good meal and lovely staff and a very nice ambience we would definitely recommend...

The restaurant is located in front of the sea. If you looking for a privacy than is a good place. Deco is splendid. Table & chairs are comfortable. Everything make you realise that the money you going to spend is worth it. They have smoking & non smoking area which is nice but the draw back is that even in non smoking hall have plenty smell of smoke. They let door open between two hall.
