My son and I visited the restaurant after hiking in Calanques, three days after the change of ownership, just before the restaurant's name changed from Les B du Bestouan. We were tired and hungry only to find out out that all other restaurants in the area were closed after 14:00 until the evening. One of the four new owners, a hard-working and mesmerizingly radiant young lady, had the kitchen cook just for us!! I had never had that happen to me in my 56-year life. The food was the best I had during my one week stay in Southern France. The Creme Brulee was to die for. Friendly conversation with the owner and the beautiful scenery through the window made our food taste even better. Read moreProbably an overlooked place in Cassis, but in reality an excellent place for dinner, views and food. There are not many places that have excellent service that is in no rush to move you out and great food.
The Charcuterie was excellent and we spent quite some time eating and sipping wine while watching the beach and chatting with other guests. This was a typical European meal that took place over hours with no rush. Th bread, the selection were all top notch.
The mains were delightful. The chicken with truffle was a light cream sauce. Chicken was perfectly cooked. The octopus had pistachio sauce and some bits of bacon as I recall that made the taste superb!
Don't sleep on this place because of its location. This is a find! I cannot attest to breakfast or lunch as I believe the menu may changes, but for dinner you...
Read moreWe went there last night and ordered four dishes. We’re all vegetarian/vegan and had the falafel plate, some fries and a salad, which had tuna and egg in it. We asked if it could be made vegan, which was an option, but instead of adding more olives or vegetables in general, they just removed the tuna and egg and had us pay the same price (18€!!). The falafel was okay, just not very filling and instead of 6 falafel we each got 5. Prices were just extremely expensive, probably because it’s close to the beach, but not as romantic as one might think, since there’s a lot of traffic and horrible smell. We speak some French but were tended to in English, which was a nice gesture but made communication a lot more difficult, which seemingly annoyed the waitress as well. Wouldn’t recommend...
